About The Position

Assists in implementing child life services by planning, organizing, and facilitating playroom and bedside activities for pediatric patients and their families. Maintains a safe and organized environment, orients and supervises volunteers, and assists with special events, in-kind donations, and community visitors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and core college coursework in child development, early childhood/elementary education, or a related field
  • One year (full-time equivalent) childcare or teaching experience with children in a group setting
  • Child development knowledge and skills (infants through adolescents)
  • Group supervision skills
  • Play and recreational activity planning and facilitation skills
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree preferred
  • Paid or volunteer experience with children in a healthcare setting preferred
