About The Position
Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, and home to Baystate Child Partial Hospitalization Program, is looking for a per diem Child Mental Health Counselor (CMHC) to join our team in Holyoke, MA. Resume required with application Summary : Under the supervision of a licensed mental health professional, a counselor would be required to perform a wide range of functions related to the care and treatment of our patients here at the Children’s Partial Hospitalization Program. These functions include participating in the multidisciplinary team approach to patient care, providing a safe and therapeutic environment, and documentation of such. In addition, they must demonstrate knowledge of the developmental stages and apply developmental theories and concepts when planning and implementing activities. A counselor is expected to adhere to system and department compliance policies, and any and all applicable laws and regulations. This description covers the essential functions of the position. A counselor is expected to perform other similar and related duties as assigned. Management reserves the right to change or add to the job responsibilities at any time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (required)
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Oral communication skills.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships.
- Attentiveness.
- Interpersonal skills
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- Must complete department specified de-escalation training within 30 days of hire.
