About The Position

Provides information to obstetrician offices, patients, prospective customers and the community about the numerous Sutter Health Birth Center and Women Services programs, prenatal lecture series, services and resources that are available to the public. Prepares and distributes educational material to childbirth educators, patients, obstetrician and pediatrician offices, and the community. Registers attendees for all of the Women's Services programs. Connects patients with external resources and services as needed. Limited Term for 26 weeks (Fully Benefited: Medical, Dental, Vision, etc.)

Requirements

  • Associate's: Health Science, Medical Technology, Physical Science or related field
  • 1 year recent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated general knowledge of the child birthing process with a basic understanding of medical terminology, current trends in childbirth issues and practices patient safety and privacy, and local/state/federal regulations.
  • Possess written and verbal communications skills to explain class information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical people.
  • Good attention to detail with time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
  • Work independently as well as be part of the team, while accomplishing multiple tasks under varied and urgent conditions.
  • Develop collaborative relationships with patients, prospective clients, physicians, midwives, nurses, and the community to promote the Sutter Health resources, programs and services available to women.
