About The Position

Looking for a great starter job in the childcare industry? This position is ideal for 14- and 16-year-olds looking to gain valuable experience and make a difference! You will enjoy this setting if you are someone that: Likes working with the Children Enjoys child-care in a structured and energizing team environment. HOURS: Part Time (10 hours per week). Monday through Friday, 4pm to 6pm. No Weekends. SUMMER HOURS: During the summer additional hours are available, Monday through Friday 7am-6pm, with flexible, max of 20 hours per week for 14-16year-olds during summer. No Weekends. LSS provides staff with a strong team of supervisors to ensure a high level of comfort in their role as well as excellent training and communication. Requirements

Must be at least 14years old at time of hire to meet licensing requirements.
Willingness to submit to record checks to detect criminal convictions of behavior harmful towards children, spousal abuse, distributing drugs or sex crimes.

Responsibilities

The Childcare Aide will work with the Southern Hills School Age Program.
Responsibilities include reading to and playing with students.
Aides are never alone in the room with students and are an enhancement to the curriculum to provide additional hands-on time with students during the busiest hours of the day.
In addition, aides will complete some light cleaning, including sanitizing toys, organizing classroom supplies, sweeping and wiping down surfaces throughout the site.
