About The Position
At Magical Beginnings Learning Centers, we believe strong childcare programs are built by strong, supported leaders. We are urgently hiring a Massachusetts EEC Director II–certified Childcare Center Director to join our current Center Director and co-lead our licensed preschool childcare center in Wakefield, MA. This is an opportunity for an experienced early childhood education leader who understands EEC compliance and childcare operations — and is ready to step into a role with clear expectations, operational partnership, and the stability needed to lead with confidence. Our organization is well-established, operationally structured, and committed to providing Directors with the resources, enrollment support, and staffing partnership necessary to run a compliant, high-quality program successfully. Our Wakefield center is a Co-Director model.
Requirements
- Massachusetts EEC Director II certification (required)
- Previous experience as a Childcare Center Director, Assistant Director, or Program Director in a daycare or preschool setting
- Strong knowledge of EEC compliance, licensing, and childcare regulations
- Experience with enrollment management and staff leadership
- Commitment to high-quality early childhood education
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of a licensed daycare/preschool childcare center
- Ensure full compliance with Massachusetts EEC regulations and licensing requirements
- Supervise, coach, and support teaching staff
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and classroom ratios
- Partner with families to maintain strong communication and enrollment retention
- Maintain high standards for safety, curriculum implementation, and program quality
