About The Position

Requirements

Experience working with children in an educational setting
A willingness to learn about the Montessori philosophy
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to maintain a calm, patient, and nurturing demeanor
High school diploma
Background check clearance

Nice To Haves

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field.
Montessori experience
Experience supporting students in a structured learning environment
Experience in a public or charter Montessori school

Responsibilities

Support the Lead Teacher – Assist in maintaining an engaging Montessori environment that nurtures independence and curiosity.
Foster a Love for Learning – Work with students individually and in small groups, reinforcing lessons and encouraging exploration.
Maintain a Peaceful & Respectful Classroom – Help guide students in their social and emotional development while fostering a positive classroom culture.
Encourage Independence – Assist with daily routines such as transitions, classroom organization, and self-care skills.
Collaborate with a Supportive Team – Work alongside teachers, administrators, and families to ensure student success.
Engage in Professional Growth – Participate in training, staff meetings, and school events to continue developing your Montessori expertise.
