About The Position

Saddleback Church is looking for a full time Saddleback Kids Director. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping lead kids to say "Yes" to Jesus and his purposes for their lives! A Saddleback Kids Director shepherds a team of volunteers to accomplish the purpose of Saddleback Kids and cares for kids and families at their campus. This is a part-time (20-hrs. a week) position.

Requirements

Children’s Ministry experience is necessary.
This position requires knowledge, experience and understanding of children age Birth through Grade 5, the Saddleback Church culture, and Purpose Driven Children’s Ministry.
Administrative experience is required for this position (i.e. Google Workspace, Pro Presenter, Keynote, organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, financial skills to manage budget, teamwork and flexibility).
Demonstrates the skills required to manage and organize events, projects and supplies.
Recruiting and shepherding volunteers.
Capable of creatively and independently solving problems.
Ability to foresee and address the needs of their campus children’s ministry.

A Bachelor’s degree is desirable.

Responsibilities

To ensure the Saddleback Kids (SK) ministry program is offered on the weekend. This includes program set-up, setting up and tearing down the rooms used, check-in area, and staffing requirements. Three rooms minimum for 3 age groups.
Teaching Explore SK, NLO1, baptism classes, and child dedication classes as scheduled.
Prepare all curriculum for weekend use, including all print items, keynotes, crafts, etc. Special event weekend prep when needed.
Recruit and onboard new SK volunteers.
Facilitate training and fellowship for SK volunteers.
Care and shepherding for SK volunteers.
Weekly e-mail communication to SK volunteers.
Family communication as needed.
Promotional materials for the ministry.
Remain in communication with the campus team and SK central team.
Weekly campus staff meetings.
Monthly SK meetings.
Monthly all staff meetings.

The estimated pay rate for this position is $27.00-29.00 hourly, depending on experience.
We will provide a pay rate within our salary structure that fits a candidate’s qualifications and experience for the job.
