About The Position

Talan is looking for an IT Project Manager to support Global Markets technology initiatives within the IT division of a Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB). The role will involve coordinating multiple projects in collaboration with Global Markets IT Business Analysts, developers, and stakeholders across local teams and Head Office. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of regulatory and technology projects, ensuring delivery aligns with business objectives, governance standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–9 years of experience managing IT or technology projects within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Experience delivering projects related to Global Markets, Capital Markets, or regulatory initiatives within a Corporate and Investment Banking environment.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or PMP frameworks.
  • Experience working with project tracking and collaboration tools such as Jira or similar Agile platforms.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, developers, and infrastructure teams in a complex environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and stakeholder management skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with business stakeholders, Global Markets teams, and IT partners, ensuring alignment with regulatory and technology priorities.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, coordinating Business Analysts, developers, and infrastructure teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of multiple IT initiatives, from project initiation and requirements gathering through implementation and transition to production.
  • Monitor project budgets, resource allocation, and timelines, ensuring initiatives remain within approved financial and operational constraints.
  • Ensure adherence to internal governance frameworks, regulatory standards, and audit requirements, maintaining proper documentation and decision checkpoints.
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and senior management, facilitating communication across business, technology, and global teams.
  • Track risks, dependencies, and delivery progress, adjusting plans as needed and coordinating final rollout, production readiness, and handover to operational teams
