Millennium Space Systems, a part of Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), is a fast, agile small satellite company focused on national security space. Our missions have direct impact to global security, like missile warning and Earth observation. Our team is curious, bold and innovative. We take risks, innovate and explore new techniques and technologies. We influence change because we challenge the status quo. And when we watch our satellites launch, we know each one of us made it happen. Millennium Space Systems handles a large amount of data handling, process tracking, and tool integration work that directly impacts engineering cycle time but is difficult for full-time engineers to prioritize against program deliverables. The intern will help us build and expand internal systems and databases that improve repeatability, reduce manual data entry, and standardize how analyses are performed across programs. Examples include helping expand process improvement tools, continuing development of a worst-case parts parameter database that can directly feed EPSA and WCCA analyses and helping prototype an MSS-tailored version of tools like PARS or an internal IOM workflow solution. Over the course of our 10-12 week internship experience you will have the opportunity to: Designing, scripting, or building engineering data pipelines would be particularly valuable. Develop tools and data systems to process and analyze survivability data Focus automating, reduced analysis prep time, improved data traceability across programs, and creation of reusable internal Survivability infrastructure Produce documents to be used as institutional command media
