About The Position

Earth Tech Enterprises is a fast-growing heavy civil construction company specializing in site development, marine construction, mining operations, and aggregate production throughout Southwest Florida. We are seeking a driven, solutions-oriented Civil Engineer to support field operations, project management, and estimating teams in delivering high-quality projects on schedule and within budget. The Civil Engineer will provide technical engineering support across multiple active projects, including site development, underground utilities, marine construction (seawalls, pile driving, concrete caps), and mining operations. This role bridges design, field operations, and project management to ensure constructability, accuracy, and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer who wants exposure to real-world heavy civil construction — not just desk design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering required
  • 2–6 years of experience in heavy civil, site development, marine, or mining projects preferred
  • EIT required; PE or PE-track strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of earthwork, utilities, grading, and drainage systems
  • Ability to read and interpret complex construction drawings
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working both in the field and office environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with FDOT or municipal standards a plus
  • Knowledge of stormwater systems and Florida permitting requirements preferred

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports
  • Assist with project planning, phasing, and constructability analysis
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs and support estimating efforts
  • Develop and review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs
  • Coordinate with survey crews and verify layout accuracy
  • Perform field visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with plans and specifications
  • Support change order pricing and documentation
  • Assist in stormwater compliance, erosion control planning, and permitting coordination
  • Work cross-functionally with Superintendents, Project Managers, and Estimators
  • Utilize software such as AGTEK Civil 3D, Bluebeam, HCSS/HeavyBid (preferred), and Excel
