About The Position

Heavy Equipment Operator Civil Construction Contractors, LLC is currently searching for experienced Equipment Operators to join our growing team on a maintenance crew in St Charles Parish. This is a full time hourly position; 40hrs per week (Monday - Thursday only). All work performed will be in the industrial workplace . All candidates must be able to pass a DISA pre-employment drug screen & alcohol test, physical and DISA background security check. Requirements

2+ years’ experience
Be able to successfully complete a DISA pre-employment drug screen & alcohol test, physical and DISA background security check
Safe and efficient operation of the following, but not limited to: Excavator, Dozer, Roller, Off-Road truck, Skid Steer, Mini excavato r.
A valid TWIC card
Valid US Driver’s license & reliable transportation (to/from jobsites throughout Southeast Louisiana)

Nice To Haves

OSHA card and Security Passport are a plus, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Safely operate heavy equipment including, but not limited to: excavators, dozers, rollers, loaders, skid steers, off-road trucks, and mini excavators.
Perform excavation, grading, trenching, backfilling, site preparation, and material handling in accordance with project specifications.
Conduct daily pre-operation and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safe and proper working condition.
Perform routine maintenance checks including fluid levels, greasing, and reporting mechanical issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
Follow all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and jobsite safety requirements at all times.
Maintain awareness of underground utilities, overhead hazards, and surrounding personnel while operating equipment.
Work closely with supervisors, spotters, and ground personnel to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and basic construction drawings when required.
Maintain clean and organized equipment and work areas.
Assist with general labor duties on the jobsite when equipment operation is not required, including but not limited to: hand digging, site cleanup, moving materials, assisting pipe crews, and supporting other trades.
Participate in daily safety meetings and adhere to all site access and credential requirements (TWIC, security credentials, etc.).
Perform other job-related duties as assigned to support project completion.
