About The Position

Welder: Civil / Industrial Welder Civil Construction Contractors, LLC is currently searching for experienced Welders to join our growing team working throughout Southeast Louisiana. This is a full time hourly position. Hours range between 40–50 +/- per week. All work performed will be in the industrial workplace. Proficient in welding processes including, but not limited to: SMAW (stick), FCAW, and GMAW (MIG); experience with GTAW (TIG) is a plus. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and job specifications. Fabrication, fitting, and welding of structural steel, piping, and miscellaneous metal components. Knowledge of proper welding procedures, materials, and techniques for carbon steel and other alloys as required. Adherence to all safety requirements and procedures. Understand documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and welding specifications. Ability to perform welding tasks in various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead). Ability to identify and avoid overhead and underground hazards. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. A valid TWIC card… REQUIRED Valid US Driver’s license... REQUIRED OSHA card, welding certifications, and Security Passport are a plus, but not mandatory. Welder Physical Requirements: Ability to physically lift objects in weight up to 60 pounds. Climbing of ladders, stairs, and structures. Work at above grade and below grade elevations. Ability to work in confined spaces and various environmental conditions, including heat, noise, and outdoor weather. All candidates must be able to pass a DISA pre-employment drug screen & alcohol test, physical and DISA background security check. Requirements

2+ years’ experience in industrial and/or civil welding environments.
