About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Claims Manager - REMOTE. In this role, you will be responsible for handling all insurance claim matters and managing the operations and workflows of the Claims Department staff. Your leadership will directly impact client satisfaction and the efficiency of claims processing, ensuring that all claims are submitted accurately and timely. You will also oversee departmental personnel, providing guidance and training to foster a productive work environment. Additionally, you will analyze processes within the department to enhance service delivery to our growing clientele.

Requirements

  • Valid P&C Brokers license.
  • 10+ years of multi-line claims handling experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years in a claims supervisory role.
  • Advanced knowledge of property/casualty coverage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer applications.
  • Strong client advocacy and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organization and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Setup and submit new claims to insurance carriers, review coverage, and notify Account Executives of any issues.
  • Review lawsuits submitted by clients prior to filing with carriers.
  • Advocate for clients on coverage issues, including Reservation of Rights and Denial Letters.
  • Oversee daily activities and performance of Claims Department direct reports.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance and training for department personnel.
  • Attend client claim reviews and meet with other team leaders to discuss claims needs.
  • Assess and implement changes in procedures to better serve clients.
  • Assist with claim issues, including Denial Rebuttals and large claim assistance.
  • Manage department training needs and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Keep track of department absence schedules to ensure service continuity.
