Job Summary The Liability Team Leader is a supervisory training position that will assist in supervising a small group of adjusters while maintaining a limited inventory of claims. In this role you will ensure quality and adherence to company guidelines through regular auditing and coaching. This is intended to be a temporary role as you complete the required training classes and develop your leadership skills to eventually be promoted to further leadership positions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years handling non-standard insurance claims with demonstrated high performance.
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrative ease with both verbal and written formats.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
  • A high degree of motivation and team orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising group of 2-4 liability adjusters.
  • Complete required training for promotion to a Claims Supervisor position
  • Maintain a limited inventory of claims, and continuously work them towards resolution.
  • Conduct monthly audits with senior leadership to ensure quality and adherence to company guidelines as well as any applicable state and federal laws.
  • Assist claims management in development of process and training to improve overall quality and key metric results.
  • Assist claims management in coaching and conducting training for the team.
  • Assist claims management in completing performance evaluations and evaluating the team’s performance.
  • Provide authority as warranted on liability claims.
  • Ensure adherence to company reserving practices.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage allocated loss adjustment expenses.
  • Effectively utilize reward system to distinguish top performers and significant achievements.
