The Clarks Fork Cook will be directly responsible for cooking for our Paws Up teammates, providing a fun and safe place to eat, and to assist and prepare aspects of the food production and preparation according to the Restaurant outlet menu items.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job-related course work; Certificate in culinary arts or relevant field
  • Experience as a Prep/Line Cook
  • Control inventory
  • Valid Food Handler’s License
  • Valid State Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, and help with AM/PM Prep Lists
  • Learn and variety of techniques and cook for our Paws Up Family
  • Communicate with Management on daily production requirements
  • Set-up, breakdown, and proper maintenance of all equipment in Clark Fork Kitchen
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
  • Prepare cold food.
  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
  • Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
  • Monitor food quality while preparing food.
  • Set-up and break down workstation.
  • Assist other kitchen team members when needed
  • Exhibit an understanding of the importance of safe food handling procedures, as well as safety procedures in the kitchen
  • Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
  • Label, date, store and rotate all products while maintaining assigned stock levels
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Display Paws Up Montana values and standards.
  • Always demonstrate professionalism and hospitality to guests and team members.
  • Handle guest transactions legally, ethically, and confidentially.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all team members to foster and promote a positive working environment.
  • Always maintain a clean and neat appearance.
  • Perform work in a safe and high-quality manner.
