About The Position

Wolfe House Movers is a nationally recognized leader in structural moving, shoring and heavy rigging. For decades, we have specialized in lifting, relocating and supporting structures ranging from historic homes to large commercial buildings. Our team works on challenging and unique projects throughout the United States using specialized equipment and techniques that few companies in the industry can match. We are currently seeking an experienced Class A CDL Driver to join our team in North Manchester, Indiana. Position Overview Wolfe House Movers is seeking a dependable Class A CDL driver to transport equipment, steel beams and materials used in our structural moving operations. This position involves more than simply driving — our drivers are an important part of the project team and assist crews with loading, securing and unloading equipment on job sites. Our drivers haul specialized structural moving equipment, steel beams, cribbing and hydraulic systems using flatbed trailers and heavy haul equipment. The ideal candidate is comfortable working both behind the wheel and alongside the crew, helping ensure projects move safely and efficiently. Experience with flatbed trailers and oversized/overweight loads is strongly preferred. This position may include travel and occasional overnight stays depending on project locations. We are looking for professional drivers who take pride in their equipment, operate safely and work well as part of a team.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to properly secure loads using chains, binders and straps
  • Comfortable performing physical work and assisting field crews when needed
  • Willingness to travel when projects require

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with flatbed trailers preferred
  • Experience hauling oversized or overweight loads preferred

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class A CDL vehicles hauling equipment and materials
  • Transport structural moving equipment, steel beams, cribbing and hydraulic systems
  • Load, secure, transport and unload trailers safely and efficiently
  • Properly secure loads using chains, binders and straps
  • Ensure compliance with DOT and safety regulations
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Assist crews on job sites with unloading materials and supporting project operations
  • Work as part of the field team to complete projects safely and efficiently
