Class A Delivery Driver
About The Position
Burke Distributing, a local beer distributor that has been in business for 90 years, is looking to hire Class A Drivers to deliver beer products to accounts in the Greater Boston Area. Compensation: Class A Driver Rate: $29.05/hour and Incentive Average: $60/day In the Union Contract, the rate of pay changes for the job that you are performing. If you are working as a Delivery Helper, the rate of pay is $25.90/hour. A Delivery Helper is still entitled to the incentive average of $60/day. Benefits: Company Benefit Contribution: Pension Fund (Retirement) $2.90/hour Health and Welfare (Blue Cross Blue Shield) $14.91/hour After 30 days of employment Union position with Teamsters Local 653 Additional 401k plan offered Company paid holidays Massachusetts Earned Sick Time
Requirements
- Ability to safely operate Class A vehicles
- Knowledge of the greater Boston Area and surrounding towns
- Ability to lift up to a 15.5-gallon keg (equivalent to 161 pounds)
- Ability to use a two-wheeler and electric jack for retail deliveries
- Ability to go up and down multiple flights stairs for retail deliveries
- Ability to communicate and work with customers and coworkers in a professional manner
- Valid Class A Drivers License or Class A Permit
- Valid DOT Medical Card
- Must successfully pass pre-employment testing including a background check, MVR, drug test, and strength evaluation.
