Primary responsibility is to drive a heavy truck at an excess capacity of more than three (3) tons; to specified destinations and locations, and to perform the following duties. Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water. Drives truck or equipment to assigned location. Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations. Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive instructions. Cleans inside of truck. Performs routine maintenance on truck or equipment. Must have a working knowledge and understanding of safety requirements and practice them. When assigned, will open a work order so time may be charged out to assigning department. Reports accidents to HR immediately, obtaining names, license numbers and other details. Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery of vehicle or equipment. Must work with and for all departments in harmony.
