B-TEK Scales, Inc . is seeking a Truck Driver to safely transport large truck scales and other oversized industrial equipment to customer sites all over the United States. Requirements

  • Valid CDL with a clean driving record
  • Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission commercial vehicles
  • Demonstrated ability to operate DOT-regulated commercial motor vehicle with a 48-foot trailer
  • Strong respect for equipment, procedures, and safety standards
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently
  • Maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with appropriate class and endorsements
  • Meet all DOT physical qualification requirements and maintain a current medical examiner’s certificate
  • Comply with DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements, including pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing
  • Adhere strictly to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and company safety policies
  • Demonstrate a consistent commitment to safe, compliant, and dependable work practices
  • Ability to climb in and out of commercial vehicles multiple times per day
  • Ability to assist with loading, securing, and unloading heavy equipment
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring physical stamina and focus

  • Experience transporting heavy, oversized, or specialized equipment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a DOT-regulated commercial motor vehicle with 48-foot trailer to transport large truck scales and associated over-sized components
  • Operate vehicles equipped with manual transmissions
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload heavy and oversized equipment with care, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Perform thorough pre-trip, post-trip, and enroute inspections to ensure vehicle and load safety
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, hours-of-service records, inspection reports, and delivery documentation
  • Secure cargo in compliance with DOT cargo securement standards
  • Follow established routes, schedules, and work instructions, and adapt to changes as needed
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatch, supervisors, and job site personnel
  • Report equipment issues, vehicle concerns, or safety risks promptly
  • Maintain assigned vehicles, tools, equipment and garage in clean, safe, and dependable working condition
  • Work week: Mon – Fri, with occasional weekend availability required
  • Overnight stays per week: 2 to 5 per week
