About The Position

Under the supervision of the Director of Child Development Centers, the Classroom Educator will perform daily desk functions, assist in the classroom and with parents and families. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Classroom Teacher Follows Adult and Child Food Program guidelines and accreditation standards. Enters data for the on-line Gold Assessment for classrooms. Keeps attendance for classroom and clocks children in and out. Assists in the classrooms, as needed. Engages the children on a daily basis in order to build relationships and facilitate the check in and out procedures. Facilitate relationship building with children, teachers and family. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
• A Criminal Background and Abuse check, as well as an up to date physical, including a TB test is required.
• A fingerprint background check is also required for all Child Development Programs.
• A valid driver’s license and a driving record sufficient to qualify for agency automobile coverage.
• Maintain current CPR and First Aid Certifications.
