About The Position

Both temporary and permanent appointments are available at Mother Teresa Primary School for Classroom Teachers. Classroom Teachers at Mother Teresa play a key role in inspiring and supporting students through engaging, evidence-based lessons that cater to all learning needs. They create inclusive environments where every student feels valued and empowered to succeed, using ongoing assessment and feedback to guide progress and maintain accurate records of student development. Teachers collaborate with colleagues to share best practice, work in partnership with families to support learning, and actively contribute to the wider school community. The Catholic Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Education Limited (CECG), teachers are supported with professional learning and accreditation opportunities, reflecting CECG’s commitment to excellence, growth, and continuous improvement in education. Some appointments are temporary to replace an employee who is on leave or secondment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
  • Applicants are required to submit a current resume and a cover letter that addresses the selection criteria as outlined in the Position Description.
  • This position involves working with children.
  • Appointment is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.
