About The Position

Safely operates machinery that mixes clay to be used in drilling oil and gas wells. Weighs sand, clay, and other dry materials in accordance with written and/or verbal instruction. Perform routine and operator level preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment or surroundings as required. Must work well within a team atmosphere.

Requirements

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Ability to use various power tools safely
Basic knowledge of various pumps and valves
Forklift Certification required
Must possess a valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

Ability to successfully use equipment per standard operating procedures and employee training
Contact the proper supervisor or maintenance personnel if abnormal situation occurs
Proficient with required Safety & Hazmat policies, procedures and reporting.
Maintain, inspect and clean equipment and facilities as required per standard operating procedures
Sample, test and log results of materials and products, as required, to ensure quality and control of product.
Use proper container for the finished material, making sure all proper labeling is applied
Maintain plant facilities, tools, and other items used in the performance of day-to-day procedures
Inventory supplies received and consumed accordingly
Assists other workers in preparing and maintaining equipment
Follow the appropriate Hazmat clean up and disposal procedures and immediately report all spills to the Blend Facility Supervisor
Assists Inventory Control Team with regular and accurate counts
Maintain the highest levels of sanitation in order to preserve the quality of the product
