The Opportunity As a clean energy financial analyst, you’ll work alongside our senior finance associate and chief financial officer to design and support innovative financing solutions for PSC’s green bank and clean energy clients. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, public policy, or a related field
  • One to three years of experience in project finance, underwriting, investment analysis, or a related field
  • Strong financial modeling, accounting, and quantitative analysis skills
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, accessible insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project organization and time-management abilities
  • Understanding of renewable energy, energy markets, and climate finance principles
  • Interest in policy trends affecting clean energy and public finance
  • Curious and eager to learn

  • Progress toward chartered financial analyst (CFA) designation is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models to support lending programs and investment strategies
  • Conduct forecasting, along with scenario and sensitivity analyses to evaluate project risk and opportunity
  • Support underwriting and transaction evaluation through data review and preliminary risk assessments
  • Prepare draft credit memos, investment summaries, and presentations
  • Aggregate data and support portfolio reporting and ongoing risk assessments
  • Review governance and funding documents and assist with compliance requirements
  • Conduct market research on renewable energy trends and climate finance tools
  • Support development of innovative financing mechanisms and programs
  • Assist with lending procedures, grant applications, and policy research
  • Provide financial analysis for additional PSC projects such as economic forecasting and budget projections
  • Collaborate in a fast-paced, supportive environment with diverse teams and clients
  • Apply critical thinking and initiative to problem-solving and project execution
  • Manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Follow PSC’s quality assurance standards for all deliverables
