About The Position

Safety of our Warfighters Firefighters and First responders to save lives Aircraft to Land Rockets to launch Satellites to Orbit the earth Astronauts to perform research Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a Cleanroom Composite Assembler I include the following: Perform cleaning, handling, preparation, and assembly of aerospace materials and components within a controlled cleanroom environment Conduct precision assembly, inspection, documentation, and support production activities while maintaining contamination control requirements Perform routine tasks including equipment setup, calibration verification, environmental monitoring, and particle counts Maintain strict adherence to Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention practices and cleanroom housekeeping standards Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment Strong commitment to quality, precision, and safety Ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities. Comply with all work and process instructions. Participating in 5S cell efforts and continuous improvement. Identifying improvement opportunities. Lifting up to and including 50 pounds. Utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task associated with the job. Working safely and reporting all near misses, illnesses, and injuries following established procedures. Completing and maintaining their training to meet the required level of certified elements in their position. Properly managing the traceability of components to ensure accuracy.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience OR 1 year of military experience
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • HS Diploma or Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology

Nice To Haves

  • Assembly or Test experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts
  • Experience with various types of industrial machinery equipment and tools such as lathe's, curing ovens, thermal and/or life cycling machines, sanding and industrial painting tools, as wells as standard hand tools are a plus
