Overtime pursuant to Collective Bargaining Agreement or Human Resources and Labor Relations Policy EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP : Just cause subject to probationary period CURRENT HOURS AND STARTING TIME: Full-time (37.5 hours per week) position. The starting time for this position is currently 8:00 a.m. GENERAL SUMMARY Under direction, plans, and oversees the Court Section staff. Supports and assists the Court Administration in maintaining efficient and compliant operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Plans, schedules, assigns, trains and supervises the work of assigned staff and exercises considerable judgment in establishing or adapting work procedures. May oversee Judicial Court Clerk’s work assignments as needed. Acts as a liaison between the Court Administration, Prosecutor’s office, Public Defender, Friend of the Court and District Courts. Works with Court Administration to administer policies and procedures. Oversees imaging and E-filing activities. Serves as Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN) coordinator and Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC) for the County Clerk. Determines whether legal pleadings are processed in compliance with Michigan Court Rules, Michigan Compiled Laws, and Local Administrative Orders. Approves purchase requisitions of office supplies and equipment. Coordinates Facility and Operations work orders. Assists in case file management, docket management and jury management. Responds to requests from various court system staff, as well as the general public. Assists in the budget process. Assists in reporting according to the reporting requirements mandated by the State of Michigan. Analyzes and manages the impact of Court regulations court rules and statues, and implementing compliance programs, as appropriate. Performs related duties as assigned.
