About The Position

As an IT Business Consultant, you serve as the primary point of contact and “voice” of TimbukTech for your assigned clients. You build strong relationships, uncover business goals and challenges, and proactively guide clients toward technology solutions that drive their success. This role combines relationship management, strategic consulting, and light sales activities (e.g., building quotes and technology plans) to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and growth.

Nice To Haves

  • 2–5+ years in account management, client relationship management, or a similar client-facing role (ideally in IT services, MSP, or consulting)
  • Hands-on experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, ConnectWise, or similar) for tracking communications and opportunities
  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Familiarity with IT concepts (e.g., hardware/software lifecycles, basic cybersecurity, cloud solutions) is a plus, though technical depth is provided by our support teams

Responsibilities

  • Act as the trusted advisor and main point of contact for clients, representing TimbukTech in all communications
  • Develop deep knowledge of each client’s business, goals, pain points, and growth opportunities through regular conversations
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs/check-up meetings) to assess progress, identify emerging needs, and align IT strategies with business objectives
  • Visit clients periodically (on-site as needed) to strengthen relationships and spot opportunities firsthand
  • Collaborate with clients to create and implement technology roadmaps/replacement plans that support their long-term success
  • Identify opportunities to present solutions (hardware, software, security, cloud, etc.) that address challenges and enable growth
  • Build accurate quotes, proposals, and recommendations in partnership with technical teams
  • Attend local community events, Chamber of Commerce meetings, and networking opportunities to represent TimbukTech and expand our presence
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop best practices, improve service delivery, and ensure seamless client experiences
  • Track client interactions, opportunities, and progress using CRM tools
