About The Position

The Client Accountant supports clients' financial processes by providing day-to-day accounting tasks. This role offers hands-on experience working with a variety of clients while developing a strong foundation in practical accounting skills. Data entry into various general ledger software Review of Accounting Clerk work Preparation of financial statements Period close workpapers including bank reconciliations Assist with clean-up of client accounting records May train clients in accounting-based software systems, procedures, and general bookkeeping skills Payroll processing Prepare W-2s and quarterly payroll filings Prepares reports such as sales tax, occupational and lodging tax Client and internal team communication Processing accounts payable Assist clients with audit support May assist with training new staff Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Understanding of accounting and financial processes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail oriented and highly organized Ability to prioritize tasks Excellent critical thinking skills Ability to trouble shoot and propose solutions Supervisory Responsibilities None Physical Requirements Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times Travel Required Minimal travel required Education and Experience Accounting degree or equivalent work experience is required 1-3 years' experience performing accounting functions of varying complexity is preferred What We Offer Full-time position with competitive pay based on experience. Requirements

  • Accounting degree or equivalent work experience is required
  • 1-3 years' experience performing accounting functions of varying complexity is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of accounting and financial processes
