We are currently looking for a Client Accounting and Advisory Lead in our CAS+ division who will provide excellent accounting, advisory, and customer service to our clients.

Requirements

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Prior experience working in a client accounting capacity with nonprofit organzations.
  • Prior relevant bookkeeping experience
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulation
  • Ability to establish and maintain databases, keep complex records and files, and analyze financial data
  • Analytical, quantitative, and problem skills
  • Must have strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Proficient in report creation
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English – both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and support
  • Strong interpersonal and client-service skills required, and the ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple clients’ needs, while maintaining a high level of accounting service and professionalism
  • Works accurately and precisely with tasks of a detailed nature
  • Confident in one’s abilities and able to work independently, with minimal direction
  • Ability to stay on top of a variety of commitments and deadlines
  • Be willing and can travel within the greater San Francisco Bay Area, with some occasions outside of the Bay Area

Responsibilities

  • Account reconciliation
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Budget and actual variance analysis
  • Balance Sheet account analysis
  • Preparation of recurring journal entries and adjusting entries
  • Preparation of internal financial reports
  • Preparation of government agency reports
  • Preparation of year-end audit schedules
  • Accounts payables
  • Cash receipts processing
  • Payroll processing
  • Preparation of intercompany bank transfers
  • Preparation and monitoring of development draw packages
  • Review of audited financial statements
  • Manage client relationship for multiple clients that we handle the accounting tasks for, and occasionally meet (over the phone, in person and via Zoom) to answer questions and present financial statements as needed
  • Recommendation of process improvements and internal controls
