The Client Development Coordinator supports FMI’s internal growth efforts by coordinating lead generation, sales operations, and marketing operations activities across all consulting practices. This role plays a key part in ensuring inbound leads are managed effectively, internal systems and data are maintained accurately, and consulting teams are equipped with the tools and information needed to serve clients well. We are seeking a detail-oriented, adaptable professional who is excited to learn, grow, and contribute across teams in a collaborative environment. This is a full-time, hybrid schedule position based in our downtown Raleigh, NC, headquarters. All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. FMI is not able to sponsor work visas at this time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, business development, sales operations, or client management preferred
  • Experience working with CRM and marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce) is preferred; prior exposure is a plus but not required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with LinkedIn as a professional and marketing platform preferred
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize information across systems and teams
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Nice To Haves

  • Background in professional services, consulting, marketing, or a related business environment is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support internal business development and sales operations across FMI consulting practices
  • Assist with lead management, tracking, and process optimization using CRM and marketing platforms
  • Route inbound leads and inquiries to the appropriate consulting practice and role, ensuring timely follow-up
  • Monitor and track data within business development systems to support reporting and visibility for client managers
  • Serve as a liaison between consulting practices and FMI’s Marketing team to support campaigns and outreach efforts
  • Assist with determining and executing customer outreach methods, including email campaigns and LinkedIn initiatives
  • Support client retention efforts by helping connect relevant client activity, registrations, and cross-practice opportunities
  • Coordinate association and influencer marketing activities, including acting as a point of contact for industry presentations and assisting presenters with content sharing and lead identification
