Position Overview: Chicken Soup Brigade (CSB) is Lifelong’s food and nutrition program, providing medically tailored meals, culturally relevant groceries, and nutritional counseling & education to community members facing illness and injustice. The Client Services Coordinator is the first point of contact for CSB’s programs, serving individuals living with serious medical conditions that impact nutritional health. The Client Services Coordinator is responsible for providing warm, clear, and friendly communication with Chicken Soup Brigade clients, enrolling them in the Food and Nutrition services, and ensuring quality and continuity of care. Communication with clients is conducted via phone, fax, electronically, or in writing to acquire data and relay information to provide excellent client experience. This regular, full-time, non-exempt, union role is based in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle, with onsite presence required 08:30AM - 5PM Monday - Friday for the duration of the introductory period. Following a successful 180 days of employment, the position may be hybrid-remote with the expectation to be on-site at least three days per week (Tuesday - Thursday).

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume data and documentation.
  • Cultural humility and experience working with medically vulnerable and underserved populations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, compliance, and client-centered service.
  • Proficiency in English is required
  • Experience in call centers, direct customer services, or direct social services.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage clients or consumers from diverse communities and backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in Spanish, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Mandarin, Somali, Amharic or Tigrinya is preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Staff phone lines, answer client questions about deliveries, modify client meal categories, make changes to client delivery routes, and update client information in Food and Nutrition database or other shared internal communication tools.
  • Enter, update, and maintain accurate, timely client data to support service delivery, reporting, compliance, and outcome tracking.
  • Respond promptly to client and provider inquiries regarding services and eligibility.
  • Serve as a liaison among clients, CSB staff, and care providers to support continuity and quality of care.
  • Schedule and complete client intakes into CSB programs, including occasional home visits for homebound individuals.
  • Process incoming mail and send outgoing mail.
  • Distribute Welcome and Recertification Packets to new clients.
  • Schedule nutrition assessments for clients.
  • Support food program operations, including food preparation and distribution, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
