About The Position

The Client Strategy and Service Supervisor is responsible for owning and leading key client relationships and the cross-functional teams that support them. This role serves as a strategic business partner and marketing consultant, guiding clients through integrated marketing initiatives, strategies, and executions that drive measurable business growth. The Supervisor leads with a big-picture perspective while keeping leadership and the associated internal teams informed on client business plans, challenges, relationships, risks, and financial health. This role balances strategic leadership, operational excellence, fiscal responsibility, creative/branding know-how, and people development to ensure success for both clients and the agency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; 8+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, or related fields; some management experience preferred.
  • Creative and branding experience prioritized
  • Iowa-based preferred
  • Strong knowledge of strategic planning and marketing execution, with experience managing KPIs to drive measurable results.
  • Ability to outline complex information into clear, actionable insights for clients and internal teams.
  • Skilled at leading crucial conversations internally and externally, including with C-Suite executives, to ensure alignment and effective execution.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and leadership presence, with the ability to mentor and inspire teams.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate Strategic Leadership
  • Own and lead multiple key client relationships, ensuring long-term success and strong, trusted agency partnerships
  • Serve as a primary strategic and creative advisor, aligning integrated marketing initiatives with clients’ business objectives
  • Collaborate with clients to define KPIs, marketing strategies, budgets, and timelines that drive in-market success
  • Partner with the Data, Research, and Insights team to develop forecasting and performance tracking aligned to client goals
  • Lead the development of marketing plans, programs, budgets, and operational processes to meet and exceed client objectives
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively identify opportunities for growth, optimization, and expanded services
  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration across account, strategy, creative, media, digital, analytics, and production teams
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders
  • Lead, mentor, and develop client coordinators and managers, including performance reviews and career development planning
  • Oversee Fiscal Management
  • Monitor client financial performance and profitability, understanding how it contributes to overall agency fiscal performance
  • Partner with the VP to develop, price, and manage client scopes of work and pricing proposals
  • Monitor scope adherence and resource allocation to ensure compensation structures support delivery of assets while maintaining agency profitability
  • Identify opportunities to grow accounts through expanded scope, efficiencies, or new offerings
  • Be a Part of Creative & Strategic Briefing
  • Develop insight-driven creative and strategic briefs
  • Synthesize complex data, research, and client inputs into compelling, clear stories that inspire strong creative solutions
  • Collaborate closely with creative teams to ensure briefs are well-defined, strategically sound, and executed successfully
  • Champion creative excellence while ensuring work meets client objectives and performance expectations
