About The Position

Location: Dyersburg Urology Clinic. Responsible for the ongoing efficient, effective, and compliant operations of assigned WTH owned/operated physician practice. Provides leadership, direction, and administration in all aspects of clinic operations except for decisions involving professional medical judgement. Under the general supervision of Operations Manager or Director. Physician clinic offers both professional and on-site ancillary services. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsible for ongoing operational efficiency, effectiveness and compliance of assigned clinic. Responsible for consulting in the development of and adherence to clinic based policies and procedures and education of staff. Responsible for ensuring that compliance with all regulatory agencies governing healthcare delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies are followed. Continually monitors operations, programs, physical properties and support services for potential non-compliance and acts to report or correct with assistance of Director. Responsible for supervision and support of on-site clinic staff, except physicians. Implements short-term and long-term goals for assigned clinic to maintain maximum financial performance. Represents assigned clinic in relationships with other healthcare organizations, governmental bodies, not-for-profits, and third-party payors, as requested. Uses cost effective measures in day-to-day operations of all resources. Attends required meetings and participates as a member of organizational and departmental committees, as requested. Ability to direct and lead others under their supervision in an effective and fair manner. Contributes to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the department and clinic. Greet guests in accordance to our Guest Excellence Principles and AIDET. Adheres to WTH Compliance Policy at all times. Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.

Requirements

  • High school education required.
  • Professional development and knowledge equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing at least two years of college.
  • Knowledge of principles of healthcare planning and management sufficient to manage clinic that is part of a large integrated healthcare organization.
  • Three or more years in a supervisory position.
  • Three or more years experience in the operations of physician clinics.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of the healthcare system, planning and management sufficient to manage the operation of a clinic that is a part of a large integrated healthcare organization.
  • Skills in establishing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships required.
  • Ability to assume authority and responsibility for work functions.
  • Ability to supervise and organize staff.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively communicate with physician, professional staff, and management.
  • Contributes to a positive work environment and the overall team effort of the department.
  • Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting in standard office environment.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking on a continued basis.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Understands and adheres to West Tennessee Healthcare’s compliance standards as they appear in the Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest Policy.
  • Assumes responsibility for insuring continued professional growth.
