About The Position

Manages scheduling of appointments. Checks patients in and out and uses accurate and appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes. Registers patients, prepares charts, posts charges and payments and collects co-payments. Maintains current database of patients demographics and billing information. Verifies insurance eligibility.

Requirements

  • High school graduate.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Computer skills required.
  • Experience with electronic medical record.

Nice To Haves

  • One year technical college or certification preferred.
  • Three years experience in physician office with PSR experience may be accepted in lieu of formal training.
  • Experience with practice management systems, EMR's
  • Office automation skills
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding and insurance reimbursement.
