About The Position

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first As a Pharmacy Technician 2 you will work in an in-person, Patient facing position that supports the efforts of our Retail Clinic Pharmacy. You will obtain new prescriptions and prescription refill information. You will also perform a variety of activities to support administrative, operational, and customer needs. You will anticipate being on your feet, handle multiple tasks to fulfill a medication and answer patients' questions, in person and over the phone. The Pharmacy Technician 2 will report to a Pharmacist Lead. Responsibilities include: Retrieve, count, and measures drugs. Assist Pharmacist with price-checking and restocking of drugs. Access, input, and retrieve prescription information from computer. Refer physicians' calls and any medical questions to pharmacist. Operate a cash register. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards. Follow standard policies and practices and resources to support assignments. Strong written and oral communication skills Use your skills to make an impact

Requirements

  • Must have an active Pharmacy Technician license in in the state of Florida
  • Must have National Certification (PTCB), or the ability to obtain within the first 12 months of hire
  • Minimum two (2) years of Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Basic working knowledge using MS Office including Outlook, and ability to learn and use variety of platforms such as SharePoint, Teams, etc.
  • Must have a driver's license, with reliable transportation to transport office locations.
  • This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program and will require a TB screening.
  • Must be willing to meet for an in-person interview with leader(s)

  • Lift and move up to 25 lbs.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
