Works as a team member with support staff and Dentist to ensure safe, high quality care. Dental Assistant duties consist of preparing patients for dental examinations, assisting the Dentist during dental procedures, obtaining dental history and vital signs, sterilizing equipment, maintaining adequate clinical supply levels in each operatory, clinical supply inventory and ordering. Front-office duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, obtaining complete and accurate personal and financial information in an efficient and courteous manner. Assumes responsibility associated with any expanded duties that may be delegated by Practice Manager or Dentist.
Requirements
- High School or equivalent with demonstrated clerical and registration skills, computer proficiency and medical/dental terminology.
- Prior healthcare experience (Medical or Dental Office)
- Superb customer service skills.
- Must have the ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
Nice To Haves
- Dental Assistant and BLS Certification preferred.
