About The Position

The University of Florida College of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full-time clinical track faculty position in the Department of Restorative Dental Sciences, Division of Operative Dentistry at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank. The University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD) is one of the leading dental schools in the United States devoted to improving and promoting oral health throughout Florida, the nation and worldwide through excellence in teaching, research, patient care and service. Responsibilities include didactic, preclinical and clinical instruction in operative dentistry to the DMD program and graduate programs, including serving as a course director, participation in intramural faculty practice, excellence in academic pursuits and service, and include opportunities for participation in the development of departmental research and/or other scholarly activities. Minimum requirements include a DDS, DMD, or equivalent dental degree. Preferred qualifications include; post-graduate training in operative dentistry, teaching experience that has prepared the candidate to be a course director in operative dentistry and clinical practice experience. Applicants should possess the skills and knowledge to provide clinical coverage in all aspects of general dentistry. As well as being a strong clinician, applicant should be organized, open minded, dedicated to teaching students according to the guidelines set by the department, proficient with technology and the use of electronic health records, abreast of current evidence-based dentistry and possess excellent communication skills. Salary and rank are commensurate with credentials and experience.
