About The Position

The Kinesiology Department in the College of Nursing and Health Innovation, at the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professory – Academic Professional Track ( APT ). The Clinical Assistant Professor of Exercise Science teaches and supervises students in classroom, clinical and community settings. They evaluate student performance, support curriculum improvements, and maintain partnerships with clinical sites. The role also includes professional development and service to the program. In accordance with USCIS regulations, successful applicants must be legally able to accept work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Exercise Science or related field
  • PhD in Exercise Science or related field
  • Demonstrated teaching and research experience in exercise science fields (exercise physiology, motor behavior, biomechanics, sport psychology, rehabilitation, kinesiology, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Implement high quality instruction and supervision to students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
  • Evaluate student performance and contribute to curriculum improvement.
  • Teach assigned courses, commensurate with experience.
  • Build and maintain strong partnership with clinical agencies.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback on student performance and competencies.
  • Serve on departmental committees and contribute to strategic initiatives.
  • Uphold public standards in exercise science.
  • Serve as a professional role model.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
