About The Position

Assesses patients’ nutritional status; develops and implements nutrition care plan; provides consultation and recommendations on nutritional care for hospitalized and clinic patients; works with interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote patient care; provides nutrition instruction to patients, staff and community; participates in interdisciplinary activities, nutrition-related, staff and/or department projects; attends rounds and assists in quality assurance program initiatives; maintains credentialing. Starting hourly pay is $32.10 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Certified in the State of New York as a Dietitian/Nutritionist.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics or a related field and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience as a nutritional services provider.
  • NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Dietetics, along with certification as a Certified Specialist in Oncology (CSO) and/or Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC).
  • Clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting
  • Expertise in nutrition counseling
  • Strong background in oncology
  • Proficiency in tube feeding and TPN/parenteral nutrition support
