Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a program of education at the facility level. Programming includes coordination of orientation on units, ongoing staff competency as well as continued education at the unit and/or facility level as identified by needs assessments, audits, data informed decision making and regulatory requirement initiatives. Applies policies, procedures, standards, and regulations as appropriate to their populations. The scope of the education will be determined through collaborative practice with leadership, educators, and providers to enhance the quality and cost effectiveness of patient care; assumes the role of an educator, facilitator, consultant, researcher and change agent. Works closely with the Enterprise Clinical Educator to align with annual education initiatives, clinical orientation, and other enterprise initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree (BSN) (required)
  • Five years of experience in nursing
  • Registered Nurse (required)
  • Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of staff development, academic teaching or project development coordination (presferred)
