About The Position

Clinical Laboratory Assistant We are seeking a detail‑oriented and organized Laboratory Assistant to support daily lab operations, including report retrieval, data entry, specimen processing, and customer service. This role is essential in ensuring accurate documentation, timely workflow, and high‑quality patient care. Hiring Range: $20.60/hour - $26/hour depending on applicable professional experience Schedule: Tuesday – Friday 1:30pm to 10pm, and Saturday from 10:30am to 7pm. Differentials: Evening after 5:30pm $3/hr, and Saturday differential $2.56/hr The above information is intended to indicate the general nature and level of work required in this position. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare or laboratory settings strongly preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask.
  • Comfortable working under pressure and both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to distinguish colors and shades.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve, file, distribute, and maintain laboratory reports and records.
  • Perform accurate data entry, scanning, faxing, and inventory tasks.
  • Provide professional, compassionate customer service to patients, clinicians, and staff.
  • Ensure proper patient identification and specimen labeling.
  • Perform CLIA‑waived and moderate‑complexity testing, including quality control procedures.
  • Prioritize and process specimens (STAT, ASAP, Routine, Pre‑op) efficiently.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and compliant laboratory work areas.
  • Troubleshoot basic instrument or workflow issues and escalate when needed.
