General Summary: The Clinical Manager is responsible for directing the operations of the assigned program, ensuring that regulatory standards and administrative policies and procedures are followed, to attain program objectives. The Clinical Manager acts as a liaison to various agencies and stakeholders. Employees in this classification supervise the work of professional, technical and clerical staff and do other work as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education – bachelor’s degree in a field related to Behavioral Health required.
  • Experience – At least 3 years of management experience required.
  • Minimum 21 years of age.
  • DPS Level I fingerprint clearance (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).
  • CPR, First Aid, AED certification, if required (must possess upon hire and maintain throughout employment).
  • Current, valid Arizona Driver’s License and 39-month Motor Vehicle Report and proof of vehicle registration liability insurance to meet insurance requirements, if required.
  • Initial current negative TB test result, if required (Employer provides).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in providing supervision in a behavioral health setting preferred.
  • Licensure – Not required, but preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support, leadership and oversight for program.
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with various officials and professional workers.
  • Serves as the central point of contact for program services; provides positive public relations for all programs.
  • Manages complaints, including resolution and follow-up, in collaboration with Intermountain Centers’ leadership team.
  • Works collaboratively with Human Resources, has overall responsibility for hiring, developing, retaining, evaluating, disciplining and discharging of program staff.
  • Consults with the Executive Leadership regarding all legal issues, serious programmatic issues, and critical events.
  • Provides administrative supervision to program staff on a weekly basis.
  • Assists in leadership site coverage, including covering callouts/paid time off.
  • Participates in annual budget preparation with the Executive leadership and is accountable for program’s adherence to annual budget parameters.
  • Follows agency purchasing and accounting procedures; ensures support and program staff do also.
  • Ensures program staff receive annual and in-service training, and coaching, on an on-going basis.
  • Participate in Management Team meetings, conferences, and other agency-related meetings as necessary.
  • Conducts regular all-staff meetings for program staff.
  • Ensure that cleanliness and safety standards for the program are met, and that appearance of the site and vehicles are maintained.
  • Ensures that member files are maintained in accordance with the Organization and contractual standards.
  • Ensures that program data is collected through established protocols to document outcome measures.
  • Supports the organization’s mission, goals and management decisions; promotes an empirical behavioral model in program services.
  • Maintains an approved schedule and acceptable level of attendance.
  • Provides direct care to a small case load of members, as applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary as they relate to the general nature of the position.
