About The Position

A.T. Still university's Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH) is seeking an exempt, full-time Clinic Operations Manager on the St. Louis, Missouri campus. This position reports to the Director of St. Louis Operations. The MOSDOH Clinic Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the patient care clinic under the supervision of the Director of Saint Louis Operations. This position supports efficient, high-quality, and compliant dental services by managing staff workflows, optimizing patient access, maintaining regulatory students, and supporting faculty, students, and staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, management, or other related field.
  • Knowledge: Management in dental office environment, electronic medical records, budgeting and auditing process, OSHA, HIPPA, FERPA, aseptic and dental procedures, MS Office and Google Suite.
  • Skills: Operational efficiency, staff development, patient-centered mindset, compliance and safety focus, clear and professional communication with a high degree of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Day-to-Day Clinical Operations – ensure efficient patient flow, effective chair utilization, and support alignment of academic program needs and clinical operations.
  • Supervise/Lead Clinical Support Staff – recruit, train, schedule, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a collaborative and professional work environment.
  • Coordinate and Monitor Front Desk - ensure adherence to clinic protocols, scheduling accuracy, and high-quality patient service.
  • Support Compliance – support compliance efforts for regulatory, safety, and accreditation standards, including OSHA, HIPAA, CDC, infection control, and institutional policies.
  • Manage and Support Patient Services – support patient engagement, including oversight of intake, scheduling, and resolution of escalated patient concerns or complaints.
  • Collaborate on Financial Operations - including monitoring billing accuracy, charge capture, collections, budgets, and non-patient revenue sources.
  • Support Clinical Systems and Technology – support EHR management, ledger auditing, reporting, staff training, and coordination with clinic technology teams.
  • Support Quality Improvement and Operational Effectiveness – support protocol development, audits, documentation, inventory coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
