The Clinical Specialty Pharmacist, Ambulatory provides direct patient care and longitudinal medication management for all patients receiving medication services in the ambulatory pharmacy setting. This role delivers high-touch clinical services, including clinical intake, ongoing monitoring, adherence management, adverse event assessment, laboratory review, care coordination, order fulfillment and documentation in compliance with regulatory, accreditation, payer, and patient care requirements.The Clinical Specialty Pharmacist supports specialty pharmacy program growth and sustainability through consistent clinical oversight, interdisciplinary collaboration, and participation in quality management activities. This position does not include formal supervisory or operational management responsibilities and will be cross trained to support retail if back up is needed. Develop and Grow your Career! Requirements

  • 2-3 years ambulatory care or retail pharmacy
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
  • PGY1 residency; PGY2 in Ambulatory Care or Specialty Pharmacy
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications
  • CSP certification
  • Active Registered Pharmacist (RPh) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania upon hire
  • Immunization certification required within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty pharmacy experience, experience with specialty pharmacy accreditation standards (URAC, ACHS)
  • Board certification (e.g., BCACP, BCSCP, CSP)
