At Johns Hopkins Hospital, the department is responsible for providing acute care pharmacy services for a diverse population of medical, surgical, oncology, and pediatric patients, with additional services provided within the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center and affiliated clinics. Within the department, there are 70 acute care and primary care clinical pharmacy specialists as well as 32 general and specialized pharmacy residents. What Awaits You? Relocation Assistance - Receive monetary assistance if greater than 50 miles away Tuition Reimbursement Dependent Child Tuition - Payment for up to 50% of child's tuition and eligible mandatory academic fees at an accredited, degree-granting institution Affordable and Comprehensive Benefits Package Job Summary: This position serves in the Adult Medicine, Emergency, and Surgery Pharmacy Division which provides comprehensive pharmacy services to all adult patients at JHH with the exception of oncology patients. Applicants are preferred to have completed, or be in the process of completing, an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency program or have equivalent experience. This Clinical Pharmacist I works collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to promote the safe and effective use of medications through comprehensive medication order review and verification. The role also involves addressing clinical pharmacy questions and concerns, with opportunities to participate in interdisciplinary rounding to further support patient care and optimize therapeutic outcomes. There will be an emphasis on Cardiology for this role while additional responsibilities for the position include: medication management, emergency code response, care coordination, drug information response, and education to students, residents, pharmacists, other health care practitioners and patients and family members.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in Pharm. D. or BS degree.
Current licensure as a pharmacist in the State of Maryland required.
Hospital and departmental education requirements completed within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Completion of an ASHP accredited residency program or equivalent experience is desired.
ACLS and/or PALS certification is desired.
Previous clinical health-system experience is desired.
