About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Oncology Infusion Pharmacy Manager to lead a pharmacy team dedicated to providing exceptional oncology care. This is a direct-hire opportunity with a leading healthcare organization committed to enhancing patient outcomes through innovative treatments and compassionate care. As the Oncology Infusion Pharmacy Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of oncology pharmacy services. You will manage a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, and implement best practices in medication management. Your leadership will be pivotal in optimizing patient outcomes through effective medication therapy management, investigational drug therapy, and collaboration with the oncology care team.

Requirements

  • Pharm.D. preferred (2 years post-graduate experience or equivalent)
  • 3–4 years of clinical pharmacy experience in a similar environment required.
  • Active pharmacist licensure in the District of Columbia.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills preferred

Nice To Haves

  • BCPS residency preferred; 3 years of management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor, and assess the quality of clinical information and pharmacy interventions.
  • Design and deliver educational programs for healthcare professionals and patients, including in-services, lectures, newsletters, or rounds.
  • Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and selection of professional and clinical pharmacy staff.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with governmental and accreditation regulations.
  • Oversee clinical and patient care pharmacists in reviewing and assessing medication regimens and therapeutic issues.
  • Serve as a resource for drug information to support daily clinical interventions.
  • Supervise and mentor pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure high-quality clinical programs.
  • Collaborate with leadership in budget development, resource utilization, and departmental metrics for safety, quality, productivity, and fiscal objectives.
  • Approve pharmaceutical purchase orders, invoices, and payroll as authorized.
