About The Position

Clinical Program Manager at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is Full Time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts. Under the Direction of the Director of Risk Management, the Patient Safety Officer is responsible for the development, coordination and evaluation of an organization-wide Patient Safety Program at St. Mary Medical Center. Key functions include internal and external safety data and experience analysis and action planning, development and integration of key aspects of the hospital's Patient Safety Plan, coordination of proactive performance improvement and educational activities related to patient safety. The Patient Safety Officer assesses and promotes compliance with The Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals and other evidence-based patient safety initiatives, and implements programs, policies, and education to maximize patient safety. This individual works collaboratively with the Sr. Risk Management Specialist and other members of the Clinical Excellence Department to identify prioritize and monitor areas of risk as they relate to patient safety, including harm events and develop actionable strategies to mitigate these areas of risk. He/she emphasizes proactive harm prevention and mitigation for patients, visitors, and staff through the development and implementation of programs, policies and practices. This individual fulfills the role designated house-wide Patient Safety Officer according to the hospital Patient Safety/Risk Management Plan. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare related field or equivalent education/experience
• 5 years of Clinical practice experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) upon hire.
