The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC I) works under general supervision and reports to the physician leadership for day-to-day responsibilities and to the MGH Cancer Center Protocol Office (CCPO) Clinical Research Manager for administrative aspects. The CRC I will assist in the management of multiple tissue banking protocols. The following job duties will be performed under general supervision: · Have comprehensive knowledge of all assigned protocols · Develop protocol specific flow charts, intake sheets and other tools as needed to ensure protocol compliance and proper data acquisition · Assist in the identification and organization of collected samples · Attend research focused team meetings · Maintain accurate patient research files and records of sample procurement · Build and maintain RedCap database of all patients · Prepare and submit protocol amendments and continuing reviews to the designated Institutional Review Board (IRB) for all assigned protocols · Obtain consent from patients to collect and analyze data to ensure quality · Work with collaborators to collect and analyze data to ensure quality · Other projects as identified by physician leadership Job Summary Summary Following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, provides assistance on clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy, EKGs, etc.; and maintaining and updating data generated by the study. Candidates who are in the process of completing their bachelor's degree have a six-month grace period from their hire date (up to one year if starting on a per diem basis) to provide degree equivalency verification.
