About The Position

This Clinical Research Nursing position will be dedicated to the Neuromuscular Neurology Division within the Farber Institute for Neuroscience, working on Investigator Initiated and Industry Sponsored Trials. This position may require home visits with research participants. Performs basic nursing skills, study coordination and data management, with a central focus on managing subject recruitment and enrollment, consistency of study implementation, data management and integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting. Clinical and/or research experience with Neurology and Neuromuscular Disorders, particularly Stiff Person Syndrome and Myasthenia Gravis, is preferred. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. Collects and documents clinical information (data) from study participants. Provides patient education regarding research study. Obtains informed consent and supports enrollment into clinical trials. Interacts with consortium members, organizes meetings and communicates with participating institutions, tracks and records progress, schedules meetings, records and distributes minutes.

Requirements

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of 1 year of RN Clinical Experience in health care setting

  • Research experience preferred
  • Clinical and/or research experience with Neurology and Neuromuscular Disorders, particularly Stiff Person Syndrome and Myasthenia Gravis
