About The Position

We are looking for a skilled, self-motivated individual to serve on clinical and health services projects in Ophthalmology. Our team works to improve quality of care of patients with eye diseases through telemedicine and community engagement. Key job responsibilities include recruiting study participants, ophthalmic testing, conducting study visits including informed consent, administering surveys and data entry. This position is located in Flint, MI. Requirements

  • Associate degree in Health Science or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • Minimum 1 years of directly related experience in clinical research and clinical trials is necessary. Please review SoCRA's Definition of a Clinical Research Professional

Responsibilities

  • Assist study team with aspects of clinical research coordination including but not limited to conducting study visits with study participants including participant recruitment, informed consent and administering surveys
  • Data entry into research databases requiring skillful attention to detail
  • Work collaboratively by maintaining a good rapport and communication with research teams and faculty, as well as patients and clinic staff
  • Staff members are expected to work independently when appropriate and regularly exercise good judgment in setting priorities, resolving operational problems, and applying policies, procedures, and methods, while maintaining the strictest of confidentiality at all times
  • Perform ophthalmic testing such as refraction, OCT and IOP.
