About The Position

SUMMARY: The Clinical Services Educator is responsible for the orientation of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Medical Assistants and Patient Care Associates to their roles and responsibilities in the clinic and community settings. Ensures that all staff are compliant with Center for Medicare and Medicaid regulations related to PACE operations. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS: Educates staff on regulatory and compliance requirements related to PACE overall operations. Educates staff on the function and roles and responsibilities of the Interdisciplinary Team. Provides training on the functionality and documentation requirements of the electronic medical record. Provides training on the overall roles and responsibilities of the clinical and community staff. Facilitates orientation to workflow processes for areas necessary for staff to perform roles and responsibilities. Serves as a resource to staff regarding workflow, documentation, regulation, and compliance issues or concerns. Performs monthly chart reviews in conjunction with staff to identify learning opportunities and to ensure compliance with documentation standards. Maintains Emergency services utilization spreadsheet and ensure compliance with authorization completion for emergency services and hospitalizations. Ensures that Participant educational materials are available for use by the clinic and community staff. Complies monthly audit data to present during staff meetings. Ensures that all clinical skills are assessed as appropriate. Develop and manage staff Nurse educational calendar. Ensures compliance with Basic Life Support requirements. Maintain educational documents to ensure compliance with CMS education requirements. Coordinates and facilitates mandatory ALL staff competencies. Develops educational calendar for Licensed Practical Nurses and facilitates instructional sessions. Leads and/or assist with special projects and other duties as delegated. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Bachelor of Science in Nursing One year of experience working in a PACE program. Demonstration of leadership skills and the ability to effectively written and verbally. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Working conditions are variable with exposure to communicable diseases, due to patient environment. Driving is required within PACE SEMI catchment area, with possible exposure to extreme temperatures, including heat and cold. Frequent walking, bending, lifting of forty (40) pounds or more may be needed in the performance of duties. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • One year of experience working in a PACE program.
  • Demonstration of leadership skills and the ability to effectively written and verbally.
